Introduction

If you are using a Huawei Optical Network Terminal (ONT / Router) with the Blue Menu Interface and want to update your WiFi name (SSID) or WiFi password directly from your mobile phone or PC, this step-by-step tutorial will guide you through the entire process.

Default Login Credentials

Before starting, ensure your device is connected to your Huawei WiFi network. Use the following credentials to access the router dashboard:

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Connect to WiFi

Enable WiFi on your smartphone or laptop and connect to your home Huawei WiFi network.

2. Open Router Interface in Web Browser

Open Google Chrome (or any browser) and enter 192.168.100.1 into the address bar. Press Enter/Search to open the login screen.

3. Log In to Dashboard

On the login page, enter telecomadmin as the Username and admintelecom as the Password, then click Login.

4. Navigate to WLAN Settings

Once logged in to the Blue Interface, click on the Advanced option at the top menu. From the left-hand navigation pane, select WLAN.

5. Change WiFi Name & Password

  • To change WiFi Name: Locate the SSID Name field and type your desired new network name.

  • To change WiFi Password: Locate the WPA PreSharedKey field and type your new secure password.

6. Save Settings

Click the Apply or Save button at the bottom of the page.

Important Note: Once you click Apply, your mobile/laptop will immediately disconnect from the WiFi network. Go to your device's WiFi settings, forget the old network, select your WiFi, and enter the new password to re-connect.
